am looking at a 4 yr old 770 with 58 hrs. owner says it has been garaged kept it has a 5ft loader, ballast box, mid Pto, ag tires, standard transmission...he wants $13,800 is this a fair price?

Dave; Thats a fair price. I would want to know why ?? he is selling with only 58 hrs. That's almost brand new. ....

It really isn't a fair price. Mt local Deere dealer priced a JD790 (30hp) with a JD loader and ag tires for $13,800. That is new, not used. ....

I have seen some of these low mileage tractors around and for some reason the owners think they are worth what they paid for them and more! This is ridiculous when you can by a new tractor with warrantee for the same money. The used tractor is an older, discontinued model should be at least 20 - 25% less than a comparable new model. But I'll bet there is someone who didn't do his homework that ends up buying this tractor for several thousands too much. ....

All Deere dealers in my area want 14,450 to 14,990 for a new 4wd 790 w/R1 tires and JD 70 loader, plus tax. I found a nice '98 60 hr 770 with 4wd, loader, 513 cutter, ballast in the rear tires plus a JD utility cart serviced and ready to go for thousands less and no tax. Buying a low hour machine from a private party is the way to go if you can. ....
